Venue Info

The Kinrara Academy Oval is a picturesque stadium in Malaysia that is host to many international cricket matches. It is situated in the Malaysian suburbs of Puchong. The stadium is surrounded by a mosque on one side and a highway on the other. Les Burdett the curator of the Adelaide Oval prepared the pitches for the ground for the DLF 2006-07 Cup. The humidity on this ground is evident as players sit under picnic umbrellas on plastic chairs which comprise the team's dugout. The Kinrara Oval was completed by a New Zealand team that helped prepare the six pitches on the ground. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has spent a mammoth US$ 465,000 to complete the four floodlight towers present at the stadium. The capacity of this stadium is 4,000 people and with more international matches stated to be played here in future, the organizers hope for better facilities in the years to come.
