The Beausejour Stadium in Gros Islet is a very new cricket stadium. It hosted its first cricket match in 2006. That was a first class match between England A and West Indies A in March that year. The stadium is named after the nearby Beausejour hills. On May 10, 2006 it hosted its first international match, the fifth ODI between Zimbabwe and the West Indies was played at the Beausejour Stadium. The ground hosted several matches of the 2007 World Cup. It also hosted the semi-final of the World Cup. The venue is constructed on 22 acres and has a seating capacity of 15,000. It includes 18 hospitality suites and the modern pavilion at the stadium offers each team its own gym, lounge, balcony and conference. The stadium is situated on the outskirts of the tourist resort area of Rodney Bay and was formerly known as Beausejour Stadium. It was the first ever ground to host a day-night game in the West Indies.
