Venue Info

Named after the legendary West Indian cricketer Sir Vivian Richards, this is a multi-use and ultra-modern stadium located at St Peter's, Antigua. It was established in 2006 and has a seating capacity of 10,000. During the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup, the venue hosted Super 8 games and doubled its seating capacity. The construction of the stadium was financed by China and the cost was around US$60 million. The stadium is approximately 10-20 minutes drive from the capital city St. John's and the international airport. The ground has two main stands, the North and South Stands. The first ODI played at this venue was between Australia and West Indies which the former won by 103 runs.
