Venue Info

Formerly known as the SWALEC stadium and named after the wife of the Marquis of Bath, Glamorgan was the first to play on this ground against the touring Indians in 1967. The cricket pitch has a vibrant history to it. It hosted the Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show and Barnum and Bailey’s travelling circus and menagerie. The first ODI was played here between Australia and New Zealand on May 20, 1999, after which the floodlights were installed in 2005.
