Hailing from Dublin, Ben White began his cricketing journey at a young age, standing out in club cricket for his ability to trouble batters with his leg-spin and contribute handy runs with the bat. Recognising the need to challenge himself further, he moved clubs in 2020 to gain exposure at a higher level, a decision that accelerated his development and put him on the radar of national selectors.
In July 2021, White made his T20 International debut for Ireland against South Africa at Stormont. His strong performances in domestic competitions quickly cemented his place in the national setup, earning him a spot in Ireland’s T20 World Cup squad that year. He had to wait until 2023 to make his debuts in the other formats, but it soon became clear that his bowling style was particularly well-suited to T20 cricket. Over time, he established himself as a regular in Ireland’s T20 side.
