Muhammad Haziq Aiman Mohd Hafiz was born on September 1, 2003, in Perak, Malaysia. A right-handed wicketkeeper-batter and occasional right-arm off-break bowler, he advanced through the Malaysian Cricket Association age-group structures and represented the Bukit Jalil Sports School and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM-KPT) in national age-group and domestic tournaments.
Known for his clean striking down the order and agility behind the stumps, Haziq features prominently in domestic white-ball competitions for teams such as Central Smashers, Northern Strikers, and Southern Hitters.Haziq made his official T20I debut for Malaysia on July 18, 2025, against Hong Kong during the Asia Pacific Cricket Champions Trophy at the Singapore National Cricket Ground. Later that year, he delivered a defining performance during the 2025 T20I series, scoring his maiden T20I century - 113 off 58 balls against the Philippines on December 9, 2025, establishing himself as an explosive top-to-middle order option.
Throughout the 2026 international season, Haziq remained a regular fixture in Malaysia's white-ball squad. In May 2026, he contributed vital runs in the bilateral T20I series against Indonesia, including a match-winning 45 off 30 balls. He followed it up during the 2026 Asian Games Men's T20 Qualifier in Singapore in June 2026, scoring an unbeaten 44 off 28 balls against China to guide Malaysia into the knockout rounds. And eventually he also featured in the 2026 Asian Games held in Japan.
