Over a distinguished international career encompassing 55 Tests, 218 ODIs, and 119 T20Is, he established a formidable, statistically complete resume, scoring 3,652 Test runs alongside 53 Test wickets, while amassing 6,614 ODI runs with 139 wickets and 2,514 T20I runs with 61 wickets.
