Profile

Kirk McKenzie is a Jamaican left-handed opener. He was born on 9 November 2000 and has a bright future ahead of him.

Kirk made the limelight during the 2020 Under-19 World Cup when he batted brilliantly for 99, despite having an injured leg that enabled him to barely put any weight on it. He showed the fighting spirit and the courage that someone needs to have a bright future ahead of him. The Jamaican was the third-highest run-scorer for the West Indies in the tournament with a total of 152 runs in just five innings.

He made his first-class debut on 1 June 2022, for Jamaica (West Indies Domestic Franchise) in the 2021–22 West Indies Championship. The pinnacle in the young career of the youngster has to be the call-up he received in July 2023, as McKenzie was named in a West Indies squad for the first time for the side's Test match against India.
