Benjamin Ito-Davis is a right-handed all-rounder who bowls right-arm off-spin and has developed into a useful two-way option for Japan. He made his T20I debut against Mongolia in 2024 and quickly established himself as a regular part of the side, with his ability to contribute in the middle order and provide economical off-spin. His then career-best bowling figures were 3/8, achieved against South Korea in October 2024, and he has since become one of Japan's more reliable spin options.
Ito-Davis produced another notable all-round performance during Japan's 2026 campaign, taking two wickets against Bahrain in the Thai Open Series and helping Japan secure a place in the final. His latest standout effort came against Hong Kong, China on September 19, when he returned 3/11 from four overs, including a maiden, and then top-scored for Japan with 35 from 34 balls.
Alongside his playing career, Ito-Davis has taken on a role in Japan's player development structure, serving as an assistant coach and selector with the Japan National Academy while remaining part of the senior national squad. He was also named in Japan's 15-member squad for the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, giving him another opportunity to represent the country on the continental stage.
