Kulkarni has impressed in domestic white-ball competitions with his consistency at the top of the order. His ability to build innings and accelerate when required has stood out. His all-round capabilities were on display during the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where he scored a century against the USA Under-19 team and took crucial wickets against Nepal Under-19.
Picked up by the Lucknow Super Giants for the 2024 IPL season, he played just two games before spending the entire 2025 edition on the bench. It did not deter him. He impressed in the Maharashtra Premier League that followed and earned a retention from LSG. He carried that form into the 2025-26 domestic season, scoring runs across all three formats.
