Profile

A strongly built middle-order batsman, Angelo Perera is one of the brightest talents that Sri Lanka possesses. The gifted youngster started his cricketing career playing for Sri Lanka's U19 side. He made an impressive first-class debut for Nondescripts Cricket Club and following a good domestic limited-overs season, Perera was catapulted in the national squad for the home series against Bangladesh in March 2013.

He made his T20I debut against Bangladesh but did not get a chance to bat. Apart from possessing wide range of strokes in his armoury, Perera can be handy with his slow left-arm orthodox spinners too.
