6.27pm  ...Match Day...
07 Sep, 6.07pm  ‘Age is just a number' – all the players in the Road Safety World T20 Series are time and again proving this statement. The players might have retired from international cricket, but they are still as dangerous as they were. We have witnessed some enthralling action in this tournament and we still have many more coming our way. It’s time for game number 8 where South Africa Legends will cross swords with England Legends at the Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore. The former, have made a stunning comeback in their second game after a disheartening defeat in their opening encounter against India Legends. They defeated New Zealand Legends in the previous game by 9 wickets and have got off the mark in this competition. It was their spinners that ran through the batting line-up of the Kiwi Legends and restricted them to just 99 runs. Johan Botha and Thandi Tshabalala were the pick of the bowlers and will once play a crucial role. In their batting unit, Andrew Puttick scored a sublime half-ton in the previous game, he will be aiming to carry on his good form. Along with him, Morne van Wyk and Jacques Rudolph will also be hoping to get some runs under their belt. Jonty Rhodes and his men will be looking to carry on their winning momentum and make it two wins on the trot. Like their opponents in this game, England Legends have begun their campaign on the wrong foot. They suffered a crushing defeat against Sri Lanka Legends in their first game. They were bundled out for a mere 78, but they did make the opposition sweat for every run. Well, maybe it’s too early to blame their batters for their performance. It’s just been one game and also the pitch was not so easy to bat on. But players like Phil Mustard, Ian Bell, and Darren Maddy will be expected to perform better at Holkar, where the boundaries are small and the conditions are batting friendly. Their bowling department though seems well-balanced. They have a good mix of pacers and spinners in their attack. England Legends will be aiming to stage a comeback and open their account in this competition. Will South Africa Legends deny England Legends their first victory? We will find out.
