Tanzim Hasan Sakib burst onto the scene with pace, passion, and pinpoint accuracy - a fast bowler who brings energy to every spell. Hailing from Sylhet, he played a crucial role in Bangladesh’s 2020 U19 World Cup-winning campaign, showing nerves of steel and excellent swing bowling. He picked up 11 wickets including his then career- best of 4 for 7 against Nepal. He made his First-class debut in 2021, followed by his List A debut in the same year, and broke into T20s in 2022. His consistent showings in the Dhaka Premier League and National Cricket League kept him on the selectors' radar, eventually paving the way for his international debut.
Tanzim made his senior international debut for Bangladesh in 2023, stepping into the ODI side first. He impressed right away with disciplined spells and showcased a knack for picking key wickets. Soon after, he made his T20I debut and has since been a part of Bangladesh’s pace battery across formats. While still young in his international career, his work ethic and fearless approach have drawn praise from coaches and teammates alike.
On the T20 franchise circuit, Tanzim featured in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), representing Sylhet Strikers, where he delivered a few impactful spells and gained valuable experience alongside seasoned international stars. He was also drafted by the Guyana Amazon Warriors for the 2025 Caribbean Premier League.
